Avast Home edition

Today I was searching for free anti virus for windows, there were few which I found but I saw some good reviews about Avast, its home edition is free for users to use on one computer. So I decided to uninstall my Eset Nod32 (its key was expired) and installed avast. Well its first impression on me was good because when computer rebooted after installation and Avast started boot time scan and it detected 13 Trojans and viruses.

Well well well, I went to Avast website and registered myself and got the free key for one year. Then I started browser, and felt like I’m using a dial up connection rather then my 4mbps dsl connection..I was quite strange, I disabled avast and in a sudden internet speed increased..I got shocked, Then I enable avast, but disable its web protect, but still internet speed was slow, then I disabled its Network shield, but still there was no effect on internet speed.

Because internet speed was more important for me rather then using a free anti virus, therefore I uninstalled Avast and reinstall Eset Nod32, and ordered a new key for it.
